You're right, he really had a heart bigger than he was! I know he was always there for me when I had car trouble, needed cash until payday, etc. I lived with them several times, only because him and Your Mom loved me unconditionally. No matter how I screwed up, they took me in. I never forgot that. I know he loved you and Jay and your Mom very much. You all were his life. And you're right, you will see him again one day. He IS in a better place, not one bit of pain or tears anymore, praise God!! Love ya!
Aunt KarenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3073494148699373949.post-33114076718169482992008-01-28T13:20:00.000-05:002008-01-28T13:20:00.000-05:00Greg and Christine, -I'm just going over my web Fa...Greg and Christine,

-I'm just going over my web Favorites when I came on your latest blog. Although we didn't know him, I'm sorry to hear that your father has passed. You sound devoted to him.

-I took time to surf since I'm in between taking my mother at 11 to her church meeting/luncheon and picking her up. (Can you believe she's almost 96 years old?)

-It's been 22 years since my father died. I didn't get a chance to say good bye. He died unexpectedly--in the middle of the night, in a hospital bed, alone. I still judge myself even though I had taken my mother to be with him every day the previous 3 weeks.

-In what just happened to be his last few hours he asked me to take care of his bride. Although it can be time consuming--it takes 2-3 days a week right now--I am there for her "all ways"; I am satisfied it belongs to his legacy.

-After her meeting, I'll bring her back for dinner then take her to Uht's Funeral Home to say the rosary for a friend--surprisingly quite a bit younger than she is.

Again, our sympathies,
Christine's Uncle Larry and Aunt Mary Ann ClosAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
