A FATHER PASSING

At 5:30 a.m my father died this morning, he was put in hospice care this sunday due to his failing health. He showed little reaction to our voices the first three days and no reaction the last two days but i know he heard us. The last night we told him it was ok to go home and see his mother and six hours later he died. We will all meet at his showing at 3 o'clock saturday and help each other start to heal and go on with life. He will be dearly missed by many and always loved for how he helped our lives in ways people will never know or understand. Good bye father i will see you again one day.

Greg and Christine,

-I'm just going over my web Favorites when I came on your latest blog. Although we didn't know him, I'm sorry to hear that your father has passed. You sound devoted to him.

-I took time to surf since I'm in between taking my mother at 11 to her church meeting/luncheon and picking her up. (Can you believe she's almost 96 years old?)

-It's been 22 years since my father died. I didn't get a chance to say good bye. He died unexpectedly--in the middle of the night, in a hospital bed, alone. I still judge myself even though I had taken my mother to be with him every day the previous 3 weeks.

-In what just happened to be his last few hours he asked me to take care of his bride. Although it can be time consuming--it takes 2-3 days a week right now--I am there for her "all ways"; I am satisfied it belongs to his legacy.

-After her meeting, I'll bring her back for dinner then take her to Uht's Funeral Home to say the rosary for a friend--surprisingly quite a bit younger than she is.

Again, our sympathies,
Christine's Uncle Larry and Aunt Mary Ann Clos

((Not anonymous, but don't have another way to post a comment))Greg,
You know how I felt about Your Dad. You're right, he really had a heart bigger than he was! I know he was always there for me when I had car trouble, needed cash until payday, etc. I lived with them several times, only because him and Your Mom loved me unconditionally. No matter how I screwed up, they took me in. I never forgot that. I know he loved you and Jay and your Mom very much. You all were his life. And you're right, you will see him again one day. He IS in a better place, not one bit of pain or tears anymore, praise God!! Love ya!
